About
Tech essays, music deep dives, space coverage, sports writing.
Thrive Culture Media is an independent publication covering technology, music, sports, space, film and gaming. It is not a content farm, it does not chase a news cycle, and it publishes when a piece is ready rather than to fill a slot.
The founding idea is that most cultural writing is either a press release with adjectives or a hot take with no argument underneath it. We would rather do the harder thing: make a case, show the reasoning, and be specific enough to be wrong.
What you will find here
Long reads and short ones. Album reviews with a position. Rankings we will defend. Guides written by someone who actually built the thing. The sections are the shape of it: Tech, Music, Sports, Space, Film and Gaming, with Numinous running underneath Space as an astronomy reference that grows rather than scrolls away.
How it is made
The site is built and run by the people who write it. That is the point of it being independent: nobody outside the masthead decides what runs, and there is no advertiser to keep happy. How we hold ourselves to that is written down in our editorial standards, and what happens when we get something wrong is on the corrections page.
Keeping up
There is a feed for everything and a separate feed on every section front, so you can follow only the parts you care about. The newsletter goes out from the footer of any page. No cookies, no tracking between visits, no account required for any of it; the privacy page explains exactly what that means.
Getting in touch
Pitches, corrections, rights questions and accessibility problems all go through the contact page.
